Both teams in this year's Super Bowl have a player that graduated from the same high school!

This year, no matter what the outcome, I will get to say that the winning Super Bowl team has a player from my high school.

Both Kam Chancellor of the Seattle Seahawks and Vinston Painter of the Denver Broncos graduated from Maury High School, my alma mater.

Maury High School  has always had a strong football program and has produced many college and pro-players. Even students that aren't huge football fans, like myself, have the greatest respect for the guys on the Commodores team. For me, I think the biggest strength that created so many pro players is that Maury's coaches instilled principles in it's players that taught them they could be anything they really wanted and to work hard for it. They focused on academics as well as physical strengths. This helped create strong, smart, hard working students that were more than able to succeed both on and off the field in school, but life in general. And now we have proof.

Each of the teams in this year's Super Bowl has one of Maury High School's former Commodores playing for them. It will be a great game. I still haven't decided who to pull for. Living in Indiana at the moment makes me want to pull for Peyton Manning and the Broncos, but ultimately I want to see a good game for both my fellow Commodores!
